Mission Statement

We are committed to advocate the principles of self-governance, enabling people to become good citizens, so that our Constitutional Republic may be preserved and that other nations might be inspired to emulate our successes and avoid our failures.

PURPOSE AND METHODS Why do we exist and how do accomplish our mission?

BACKGROUND AND ORIGINS of the Law and Liberty Foundation.

The PEOPLE at Law and Liberty who make things happen.

Education

The first American President, George Washington, urged us to "Promote. . .as an object of primary importance, institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge. . .it is essential that the public opinion should be enlightened." That observation is shared by the founders of the Law and Liberty Foundation. The Foundation seeks to promote "the general diffusion of knowledge" through the use of technology in classrooms, seminars, and public meetings. We will allocate a portion of our resources to fund scholarships to deserving students who will receive training in law, government, and economics.

There are many other organizations that promote the same or similar values for application in the United States of America. However, we are aware of no other organization that sees an international application for these principles. The Foundation will utilize effective technology to produce and disseminate materials that will enable people all over the world to become better citizens of their communities. We do NOT advocate a single "global" community, but rather, a cooperative union of diverse cultures, whose basis of unity is shared values. In the same way that the United States of America was formed by commitment to a core of common beliefs, we believe that the only sure hope of liberty for other people groups in the world is to internalize those same values.
